My second destination in China was Hangzhou. If you have time and don’t know what to do in Shanghai just take the train and after about one hour drive you will be in Hangzhou. The city is smaller than Shanghai but pretty. Especially the clear blue, transparent water of the lake in the middle of the city.
The first thing which will impress you will be the train station of Hangzhou. It is such an amazing train station with clean and cool, minimalistic design. Then the second thing that will make your eyes bright is the view over the lake. One of the most beautiful and biggest lake in China . You can rent a bike and cruise around but the bad thing is that most areas around the lake are forbidden for bikes so you have to leave your bike somewhere outside or just like us – be smart and fast…When the security guy snapped some guy on the bike we took this chance to ride inside the area where you can cruise next to the breathtaking view. This was a lot of fun. The lake is too big to walk everything. In the afternoon we took a small boat, floating for hours on the lake while the warm red sun went down the horizon. This was very Romantic.
