Finally I could find some time to post these pictures from the Wetland park in Chongming island which was my first travel destination during my stay in Shanghai. You can easily get a bus in Shanghai from Science and Technology Metro station to Chongming Island and from there you will meet people who are offering you to bring you with their van to any place you want to.
I was there in September and it was still very beautiful but I would recommend you to go earlier maybe July/August where the weather is even better and the sunflowers are still fresh and shiny.
The park is huge and just breathtaking. After a long time traveling in different cities it was a good feeling just to see the pure beautiful nature. Standing there and looking at the blue sky and the green gras filled me with happiness – it was such a good feeling.
This is for sure a good place to rest and have a break or either to having fun with friends. The best thing you can do there is just to rent a bike ( which you can do inside the park ) and cruise around until you are tired and thirsty. The park is so big that you won’t find the end or loose yourself without orientation haha. We enjoyed the time there really much and I am starting to miss summer … Since last week it has been colder in Shanghai and this is no fun.
