Did you ever want a smartwatch with useful functionality but clean classic look at the same time? We are great friends of technology and are always keen to learn about the news in the tech-world. But the apple watch was never an option for us because for all those who know us, also know that we are really into clean, classic and minimalistic styles. We were quite excited when we put on the brand new SKAGEN Hybrid Smartwatch for the first time. It seems to be a normal analogue watch and even when you take a deeper look you do not really recognise it as a smartwatch. We love this understatement and we think that all the other smartwatches need some of it.

The watch communicates with smart technology. Whenever we receive a message, the watch vibrates and moves its hands to the 1. When I get a call they move to the 2. and when I get a notification from a favourite person they move to 3. You can adjust this up to 6 Features. That’s pretty cool ’cause when we are at work, meeting friends or studying we can see promptly if it’s worth to grab the phone in the bag.

The watch shows notifications from WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Emails, Calls, Reminders and even Tinder, Uber, Airbnb and many more. I got used to this so fast because it is so comfortable. To be honest, most of your notifications are redundant and unworthy to get your phone out of your bag. With our SKAGEN Connected, it’s just a look at the clock face and we know it.

But there is much more inside the watch. It has an alarm clock which is quite pleasurable ’cause it wakes you up with a vibration and not with an awful sound. Using one of the three buttons you can let your phone ring. You can control and take a picture with you phone-camera, you can easily change between time-zones and – one of the coolest feature – you can control the music to pause the song, skip or repeat it.

Of course, for using all these functions you need an app on your phone, which is very easy to use. On the app, you can adjust all these features to your liking and keep track to all your activity. Like every good smartwatch, the watch has activity tracking to count your steps. If you leave your phone on your wrist while sleeping it also analyses your sleep.

Apart from the design, the watch has one more big advantage compared to other smartwatches. It’s battery and battery life. Other smartwatches have to be charged every day but the hybrid smartwatch from SKAGEN has a replaceable coin battery which you can get in almost every store. So there is never charging required.

We are glad that we found the SKAGEN hybrid smartwatch because it unites clean design with modern smart technology for a timepiece that complements, not complicates. It really makes your life easier and gives your style the finishing touch.
