Hey guys !
As you know kimonos are really Hot this summer. Also because I am now in Asia, where kimonos are kind of typical. It’s just a simple light ‘jacket’ you can wear without to sweat and it looks good.
The kimono I have is really old. Actually I bought it 2 years ago for carnival in Germany – I dressed up as a geisha ^^. Perfect that I still have this piece in my closet.
Now you surely want to know how to look trendy and chic and not like a geisha.
I combined this kimono with a black outfit, in this case my favorite crop-top and pleated pants. These pants are so cute – I love the pattern and shape. Furthermore I got them for a good price – SALE !! Now you probably know that I am a Sale – Shopaholic :P.
While I shot these photos some people looked at me and made photos.They asked me if I was a model! It was really heart-warming. In Vietnam they always think that I was a Korean or a model, just because I look so different (tanned, appearance …) and because I am so “tall”.
Well, it feels good to be looked in a different way. It gives me a little bit more self-confidence. You have to know that I am not really different than you – even I have complexes and fears. So always believe and have trust in yourself.A healthy mind is in a healthy body.

Lol! No! I thought after the ptiucre of kimono rental, you would show up with your selection of kimono on you! I really wanted to see! Who is obasan, not you! 😉 I have seen Maiko-san but never seen geisha. It’s really rare. Although you were there during rainy season, it seems like there was no crazy rain that time (that you couldn’t sightseen). Thanks for sharing your photos!
